Somewhere between gloomy and euphoric, Pastelfuneral leads a sound that he himself describes as euphoric gloom: Merging ballads and anthems, the Swiss-based artist carries melancholic vocal melodies over his productions, borrowing sounds and rhythms from almost all musical roots, mixing ambient pianos with witch house drumwork and pushing trance synth lines into shoegaze territory.
