“From Ground Zero” is currently being screened at film festivals and is not accessible to the public. Thanks to a connection created through one of the Ciné Résistance-collective members, the Masharawi Fund for Films&Filmmakers has kindly agreed to make this unique project accessible to our audience. Ciné Résistance will be screening “From Ground Zero. The Untold Stories of Gaza. Part I” on October 8th and “From Ground Zero. The Untold Stories of Gaza. Part II” on October 15th.

Talk and Discussion with Zaid Jaloudi
Zaid Jaloudi is a student protester, activist and organizer who was part of this year’s Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia demanding the University to fully divest from Israel. He was involved in the occupation of Columbia’s Hamilton Hall that since has been renamed into Hind’s Hall by the student protestors. Zaid is also part of the Global Student Network for Palestine, currently travelling to different countries and trying to unite student movements on a global scale to increase their impact and driving change. After his talk there will be time for questions and discussions.
