Children of Shatila: In 1998, more than 350,000 Palestinian refugees live in Lebanon, 15,000 of them in the refugee camp of Shatila in Beirut. Life in Shatila in 1998 is portrayed through the eyes of two children who were born and still live in this camp, Issa and Farah. The children's memories and history are shaped by the violence that surrounds them. Both have lost family in the massacres and attacks that followed the 1948 Diaspora and the 1982 invasion of Lebanon by Israel. While the focus of this documentary is on the lives of children, it is not suitable for younger children to watch. The documentary is appropriate for an adult audience interested in learning about the history of Palestinians in Lebanon, their life in the refugee camps and the lasting effects of war.
